Peer Academic Advisor (PAA) Applications
Applications to serve as a Year-Long, O-Week, and Head PAA for 2020-2021 are now CLOSED.
I'm interested in being a PAA for next cycle; who can apply to be a PAA?
Any current Rice student in good academic and judicial standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. Applicants for Head PAA must be current members of the PAA program. Applicants for new Year-Long and O-Week PAA positions do not require prior PAA experience.
2020-2021 Applications (links require you to be signed in to your Rice Google account)
- The Year-Long PAA application is for students who are not yet PAAs, and do not wish to apply for O-Week PAA positions.
- The O-Week PAA application is for students, currently a PAA or not, who wish to apply for O-Week PAA positions and then transition into Year-Long PAAs. O-Week PAA applicants who are not current PAAs and are not selected for O-Week PAA positions will then have their applications reviewed for Year-Long PAA consideration. Current PAAs who do not receive O-Week positions will be reviewed to continue in their Year-Long roles.
- The Head PAA application is for current PAAs who wish to apply for Head PAA positions. PAAs who apply are are not selected will be reviewed to continue in their Year-Long roles.
- The Head and O-Week PAA application is for current PAAs who wish to apply to be both O-Week and Head PAAs. PAAs who apply for these positions may be selected for both positions, one position, or neither. PAAs who are not selected for either role will be reviewed to continue in their Year-Long roles.
